Backup covers a few chosen circuits, like the fridge, lights and power points.
Inverters
The inverter runs the whole system. A hybrid takes power from your panels, your battery and the grid, and decides where it goes from moment to moment.

Whole-home backup on single phase
SolaX lists whole-home backup as a supported mode, and the extra surge helps start motors. It also has two battery ports and four panel inputs.
Three-phase homes
Backup runs as three separate phases, so we plan which circuits sit on each one.
Synergy's DEBS buyback pays on up to 5 kW of exports whatever the inverter size, so a 10 kW inverter earns no more buyback than a 5 kW one. The reasons to go bigger are whole-home backup, more panels, and large daytime loads such as ducted air conditioning, a pool or EV charging.
Every new system in WA starts limited to 1.5 kW of exports. Synergy raises that limit remotely after commissioning, which needs a working internet connection at the inverter, and the 1.5 kW limit comes back if the connection drops. We check the Wi-Fi signal at the inverter position during the site visit.
You can watch solar, battery and home use live in the SolaX Cloud app. All three models are also VPP ready, so they can join a virtual power plant later if you choose to.
Send us your latest Synergy bill and we'll size a system from your actual usage, show every rebate as its own line, and tell you what we can and can't offer before you sign anything.
